Further progression onto high levels of qualifications for both referees and coaching is actively encouraged within the club. The RFU has launched a pilot project around Coach Development, Luton Rugby Club will play an important part in this groundbreaking coach development programme.

At Luton Rugby Club our Coaches and Referees are an integral part of the Clubs structure and Senior Management along with the Youth & Mini Committee appreciate their time and effort they give to growing in the game of 'rugby' in our community.

The Coaches play an important part not just in making the teams as successful as possible but installing the ethos of rugby into the players while at the same time assisting with the development of young children into responsible teenagers and adults.

My role at Luton Rugby Club is to provide coaches and referees with access to the best resources as easily as possible and to assist coaches along their chosen development path. We require all Mini teams to have a Level 1 Coaching qualification and then Level 2 qualifications for our Youth team structure.
