Aviva Premiership Cup comes to Luton Rugby Football Club on 17th December between 1pm and 4pm. The Cup will be available for photo opportunity along with players from the Saracens team.
Despite losing to Ampthill by 33 points to 18 in National Three London & South East, Luton’s young side took a great deal of credit by making their powerful local rivals go all the way in front of the largest crowd of the season at Newlands on Saturday.
Luton Rugby recorded their first away win of the season when they travelled to the south coast to defeat Havant by 33 points to 20. Recovering well from a slow start, Luton gained an important win and in an at times bad tempered game not helped by inconsistent refereeing, scored 6 tries to also gain a bonus point.
Luton Rugby defeated county rivals Bedford Athletic by 25 points to 3 at Newlands on Saturday in a quarter final of the East Midlands Cup Competition. The youthful Luton side were determined to put in a good performance for new Head Coach, Neil Harris.
Following an unsatisfactory start to the season Mike Coogan has decided to leave Luton. The club has announced that 1st XV Head Coach Neil Harris will take overall responsibility for player recruitment, coaching and selection.
Despite a much improved performance, Luton Rugby’s youthful side went down to defeat in their National Three London & South East league match away at Gravesend on Saturday.
Luton lost their latest National League Three league game on Saturday when an injury hit side went down to a Westcliff team who took their opportunities to win by three tries, two of which were converted, and three penalty goals to two tries and a solitary penalty goal by the home team.
