I would like to offer my congratulations to Sean on his appointment as the new President of our Rugby Club. I consider him a good friend and have offered him my full support and assistance should he ask for it.
I would like to thank all who supported me during my 4 years tenure as President of the Club. I have very much enjoyed my time in post and I recognise that times change and things move on.
It seems there has been some social media comment since the AGM criticising both the Management group and myself. This has been particularly hurtful for the Club and myself on a personal level as the rumours instigated by certain individuals are blatantly untrue. I hope Pete Foster’s presentation at the AGM will have satisfied all that things are progressing well but, as is often the case, these matters always seem to move more slowly than we would have hoped.
I will certainly be continuing as a VP next year and look forward to seeing you all in September.
