Following the sudden loss of Jimmy Hannifin back on the 25th January the club decided to remember this 'Club Legend’ by purchasing and placing a bench overlooking pitch 3.

Pitch 3 was where Jimmy nurtured so many young inspiring rugby players from a very early age, teaching them respect and ethos that is lives on in our fantastic game of rugby.

On the 25th September the unveiling of the bench took place in front of the Mini Section by Mr Martin Booton, Club president, and Mr John Hunt.

The bench was purchased using funds raised from this year’s RFU Grand Draw.

Many thanks to all those people who contributed by purchased Grand Draw tickets earlier in the year and to all those involved making this wonderful legacy happen.

Jimmy will be sadly missed, but his name and presence lives on at Luton Rugby Club
