don't know if my original report downloaded properly so trying again
an excellent all round performance by the squad on a very blustery and miserable morning
in the game against Leighton buzzard and this one we started to play an ARROW SYSTEM ,
its a system I learnt as an 11 year old so I was a bit concerned that our squad of 8 and 9 year olds may find it a bit difficult to learn
basically if done correctly it eliminates forward passes and offside and leaves the players to concentrate on core skills whilst in a match situation, movement , passing , tackling , positional awareness and supporting the player with the ball
I needn't have worried
after some practice time they all picked it up and in the end Bedford did not know how to counteract the system as our results show , we lost 1 half of 1 game where we failed to get it going and totally outclassed them in the rest
the same thing happened a week earlier at Leighton buzzard , there coaches did not have an answer to the ARROW SYSTEM
massive credit has to go to all the players here especialy given the fact that our squad is around 16 and Leighton buzzards u9s have 28 and the coach at Bedford told me he has a u9s squad of 52
this suggests that there Is massive potential with this squad
we could have a very good year this year
if my first report turns up then disregard this one
