During the close season work between the 1st XV and the Youth & Mini sections have taken place to ensure a ‘One Club Ethos’ improves through the 2009/10 season. One initiative which is currently working well is the Adopt-A-Player programme; both teams and players are enjoying the benefits this programme brings.

Again this year sees the Youth and Mini Section being part of the Saracens Community Partner programme whereby everybody has the opportunity to see premiership rugby at Vicarage Road, Watford; home of Saracens. For more information please see links contained within the Luton Rugby website.

6th September sees Luton Rugby’s kick off the new season with the Membership and Fun Day event, this event commences at 10:30am and has the normal events available for all the family.

From the sidelines on a Wednesday evening the pre season training has been going very well, it would be better to see more players out on the training pitches but as it’s still the holiday period I guess some are still enjoying a break.

Last season saw a number of high points throughout the season; two noticeable highs were the Under 10s getting through to the final of the MOBBS tournament at Goldington Road and the other being the formation of an Under 15 girl’s team.
