IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE COMMITTEE OF LUTON RFC

It is with regret that we wish to inform you that Paul Alston, Head Coach of our first team has decided to resign his position with immediate effect. Paul has been very clear that there are situations away from rugby which requires his urgent and undivided attention. This was Paul’s second stint at Luton RFC and has made an exceptional contribution to the first team. He will be missed by the players, his fellow coaches and club members alike.

Luton RFC Club Chairman Mick Geraghty said: “Olly has been such a force at the club for a number of years now. He is a personal friend and I’m very sorry that his circumstances are taking him away from us at Luton. He has been a pleasure to work alongside and I am incredibly grateful for all of his dedication to the ambitions of senior rugby the club.”

We will now begin the process of recruiting for the role of Head Coach and as soon as we have more information, we will share it in due course. In the meantime, our Director of Rugby Steve Haynes and first team manager Steve Evans will be meeting with existing coaching staff and experienced first team players on a short-term solution to ensure we remain focused on our results for this season.
