Luton Under 8’s travelled away to a very well drilled Barnet Elizabethans team and ended the day unbeaten after playing 6 matches.
Luton Vipers started their day with a hard fought 35-35 draw, tries coming from Shea O’Donnell and Tio Bankole who both grabbed braces, supported by Toby Hunt, Lewis Read and Nico Claridge who all went over the line.
Vipers second match saw them again unlucky to be held to a 45-45 draw, Bankole kept up his good form and bagged a hatrick, with skipper O’Donnell, Read and Hunt all getting braces.
Viper last match saw them secure a well deserved 50-45 victory, with a fine display of running rugby, Viper tries came from a Read hatrick, braces from Bankole and Farrell Bennett and tries from Hunt, Callum Corley-Doyle and O’Donnell.
Luton Cobra’s were in irresistible form winning all 3 of their matches, for match one they secured a 50-20 victory, which saw Corley-Doyle get a hatrick, with Bennett, Leo Lyons and Adina Hunter all going over for braces and Ryan Swaine crossing the line.
Cobra’s second match was closer but Luton triumphed with a 50-40 win, Corley-Doyle run in 5 tries, Lyons grabbed a hatrick, supported by Bennett and Hunter who both crossed the whitewash.
Cobra’s finished their day with another excellent victory, thanks to a first class defensive display that saw Luton win 30-20, man of the match Lyons ran in 4 tries, supported by tries from Claridge and Cian Llewellyn.
A fantastic performance from both teams today, with some great passing and excellent running rugby. A big well done to Charlie and Leo for their man of the match awards, and to Tio who also had an excellent match.
