Luton Under 8’s welcomed Watford and Cambridge to Newlands Rd for their last home match of the season, and that is where the hospitality finished as both clubs were duly dispatched by a rampant Luton side, that saw them stretch their unbeaten run to 28 matches.
Luton Vipers kicked off with a 40-25 victory over Cambridge B, Vipers tries coming from a Lewis Read hatrick, a brace from Farrell Bennett and Tio Bankole, and a try from man of the match Sam Spary.
Next up for the vipers was Watford, who went down 40-20, led by five tries from Bennett, supported by tries from Read, Bankole and Adina Hunter.
Vipers last match saw them fight back from two tries down at halftime to win 35-30 against a tough Cambridge A team, Bankole started the comeback running in 5 tries, along with tries from Bennett and Hunter.
Luton Cobras started their day against Cambridge A, in a thrilling match that saw the Cobras run out 60-45 winners, with Callum Corley-Doyle running in six tries, Toby Hunt going over for 4 tries supported by Nico Claridge and Shea O’Donnell who both went over.
Cobra’s second match saw them face Cambridge B who were unable to contain the pace and power of Luton and went down 45-15, with Corley-Doyle bagging 4 tries, Hunt getting a brace, with Claridge, Matthew Pack and Ben O’Hara all touching down.
Cobra’s last match saw them secure another victory by brushing Watford aside 55-30, Corley-Doyle ran in 5 tries, Hunt capped his man of the match performance by scoring a hatrick, Claridge grabbed a brace, with Pack also going over.
