Today the Under 7s took the short trip down the M1 to Hemel Hempstead to play against Camelot Rugby Club. Once again, we were really lucky with the weather, having a morning of bright sunshine.
We started the morning with a joint warm up session with the Camelot Under 7s. I must say how impressed I was with Camelot's organisation. They had a series of drills to get the kids warmed up and they made our players very welcome. Our kids were delighted to join in and I think that the new faces made a refreshing change.
As usual we split into four squads and overall we have a return rate of 8 wins, 1 draw and just 5 loses. By the way, we have now clocked up our 100th match of the season!
We are edging ever closer to the magic 100% record as 15 of our 17 players scored. Well done lads. Our scores and scorers were:

Once again, we had a very hard time picking out our winners of the "Man of the Match" awards. We had three prizes to give out today, and each illustrates a different facet of our team.
Firstly. Freddie Findlay is one of a number of our players who could win the MOTM on any given week. He always plays with such joy and enthusiasm and scores a hatful of tries every week.
Then we have Tom Sturrock, who exemplifies the players who quietly get on with it. Always there supporting, absolutely solid in defence and a threat in attack. The real heart of the team.
And finally, Sammy. One of our newest players who has really taken to rugby. Always smiling, always having a great time and getting better and better every time he plays.
