Last Sunday, 2nd November we had out second away trip of the season, this time to High Wycombe. It was good to see Slough there as well: we have not played Slough since the 2005/6 season. A really horrible start to the day, weather-wise, we were very lucky that the rain stopped just before the matches started. Real rugby weather at last! Grins. The weather may have put some people off as we only had 11 players on the day: this is by far the worst turn out we have seen all season. On the plus side, all but one of our players scored tries: we are edging ever-closer to my 100% target.
We played 6 matches and won 5 of then: a great return for our day out. Scores and scorers are given below.
Man of the match awards this week went to Freddie and Sammy. There was really no question about Freddie winning his second MOTM award for the season; he scored no less than 26 tries. Mad init? Sammy won his award for all round play: he scored consistently, he defended well, played with great spirit and had a permanent smile on his face. Well done lads! Honourable mentions go out to Ben who had another great match day, Marcus for a great attitude and to Ollie, a real live wire.
